It’s been a while — busy preparing for two exhibits: one being installed this coming Monday, opening on Wednesday, at the State of the Art Gallery, 120 W. State St., Ithaca, NY. I’m exhibiting with an old friend from Pratt — Isabella Jacob — who creates the most beautiful and powerful ice/water/rock landscapes with mixed media and paint. I’ll be showing new work — oysters of course, and landscapes — in pastel. The show runs from July 31st to September 1st. A video of the show will be available on line at the gallery website: www.soag.org.
The second exhibit will be at the Damariscotta River Grill, in Damariscotta, Maine. It runs from September 18th to October 28th. I’ll be showing all my oyster paintings plus land- and seascapes of the Maine area. The Grill is known for its fine food and impressive exhibitions: the brick walls of both floors are usually adorned with 60 to 80 paintings from 2 or more artists. I’ll be having about 30+ works in the show.
Since I’ve become my own web-master, and haven’t yet mastered how to put new images on the website, the new work will not visible here for a while, I’m sorry to say.
